Quality family time for Princess

- Danielle Gusmaroli

A tight cohort of family and friends are supporting the Princess of Wales as she undergoes preventive chemotherapy.

Beyond her husband, Prince William — who she described as a source of “comfort and reassurance” when announcing she had cancer — Princess Catherine’s parents are with her in Norfolk.

Carole and Michael Middleton shifted into the palatial Anmer Hall, where the Wales’s will spending the next three weeks, including Easter, with their three children.

The Middleton’s are known for their hands-on parenting approach and often host their grandchildren for sleepovers.

After Princess Catherine’s abdominal surgery in January, Carole had been helping with the morning school run in Windsor in her Audi four wheel drive.

“Kate’s parents have been brilliant, they have dropped everything for Kate and the family and adore the grandchildren,” a source said.

“They dote on Prince George, as well as the others, but George was the first born and Kate stayed with them in (her home town of) Bucklebury after giving birth so they could help with the first born.”

Princess Catherine is also famously close to her siblings.

Pippa Matthews, who was her bridesmaid in 2011, has been visiting Norfolk with her brood – Arthur, Grace and Rose – who are close cousins to the Wales’s children George, Charlotte and Louis.

James Middleton, who Princess Catherine supported when he suffered depression, has been calling frequently.

Also in the inner circle is Lady Laura Meade, wife of James Meade, one of Prince William’s Old Etonian friends who was best man at their wedding.
