The Gold Coast Marathon main race won’t just have more participants than ever and a new course - but the festival’s long-term partner ASICS Oceania as main race naming partner.

For 2024 it will be known as The Gold Coast Marathon presented by ASICS, reflecting a longstanding and growing partnership between the two brands. It comes off the back of a sell-out 2024 marathon race, with a record 10,000 runners to lace up for the July 7 gutbuster.

Events Management Queensland chairman, Paul Donovan said the ASICS partnership was incredibly important: “We are delighted our longest running sponsor, of more than 20 years will take on the mantle of presenting partner for the marathon.

“The relationship we have with ASICS has evolved over the many years they have been on board – we have a mutual respect for the products we deliver and that has led to a sustainable and successful longterm partnership.

“We look forward to their involvement over coming years including naming rights of the ASICS Sport and Leisure Expo, the hub for participant registration and race kit collection and home of the popular ASICS pop-up store.”

ASICS Oceania managing director Mark Brunton said: “This event is renowned for its fast, flat, and scenic course inviting runners to embrace the challenge in a supportive race setting. With participants converging from across Australia, and around the globe, the Gold Coast Marathon presented by ASICS embodies our brand philosophy of sound body, sound mind, uniting a community of runners to feel the benefits of movement, regardless of their finish time.”
