Mega mansion with pontoon, views

- Aleisha Dawson

Practice your golf swing before taking in a movie with a glass of wine.

Or perhaps a boat ride on the Broadwater is more your style.

A golf simulator, 500-bottle wine cellar, theatre and 15m pontoon are among the jaw-dropping features in this Gold Coast mega mansion.

Fresh to the market via Edin Kara of Ray White Sovereign Islands, the five-bedroom showstopper at 34 Hampton Court pretty much has it all. Lance and Jacqueline Dummett bought the property in 2021 after being drawn to its views, location and style.

“We wanted something with a view and this one is unbelievable,” Mr Dummett said.

“You can see from Sovereign Islands down the waterway across to the Gold Coast Hinterland.

“Then at the front of the property, you look over a park in the middle of the street, so out the front all you see is green and out the back it’s just this vast expanse of water.”

A builder himself, Mr Dummett was also attracted to the property’s build quality and architecture, including its signature Paul Clout design touches, such as soaring ceilings, interior and exterior water features, and a seamless transition between the indoors and outside.

The house offers all-year entertaining with a focus on enjoying seamless indoor-outdoor living.

“With its indoor-outdoor ponds, glass walkways, large voids and the heated swimming pool and spa, it’s a house that feels just like a resort,” Mr Dummett said.

“At night-time it looks fantastic.”

During their three years living there, the Dummetts have also completed a series of renovations, including adding a golf simulator in the basement and creating a 500-bottle wine cellar.

After three years in his Sovereign Islands home, Mr Dummett said he and his wife were moving to Main Beach to be closer to family.

Expressions of interest close April 6.
