LUXURY BECKONS FOR HINTERLAND VENUE

An Insta-famous Gold Coast Hinterland wedding venue is set for a multimillion-dollar expansion into a high luxury venue that will include waterfront cabins and a huge function centre.

The Bower Estate, operated by Amanda Appel in the Numinbah Valley, has lodged plans with the Gold Coast City Council to transform it into a “premier function facility and accommodation retreat”. New features will include:

● A function centre

● A permanent reception building that will have “exquisite views of the Springbrook National Park”

● 18 one-bedroom eco cabins and a pair of twobedroom cabins.

● A day spa

● A caretaker’s house. A distillery and helipad at the site had been proposed but the features have now been scrapped.

They argue the expansion will “significantly enhance the Hinterland tourism offering”.

“The progression seeks to transition the temporary nature of the current buildings into permanent structures,” a planning report lodged with the council reads.

“The design of proposed development uses the same principles that have been critical to the success of the Bower Estate, with a continued focus on preserving the environmental values of the site, while showcasing the hinterland values of the Gold Coast through a unique function and events offering.

“The project location lends itself to unique

The Indonesian government is renewing the search for a subspecies of tiger thought to be extinct following DNA tests that appeared to confirm its survival almost half a century after it was last seen in the wild.

The Javan tiger was declared extinct in 2008, although people have continued to report sightings of the creature, as well as paw prints and the remains of environmental opportunities that are unparalleled, with unique views and vistas that make the property a drawcard for a range of locals and tourists alike.”

The estate has operated as a wedding venue since 2018.

According to the report, the eco cabins will be open to the public for nature-based accommodation when there animals killed by large predators. In a scientific paper, Indonesian researchers presented DNA test results that, they say, confirm that a single hair recovered five years ago is that of a Javan tiger.

Now the environment ministry is to install camera traps in the jungles of West Java in an attempt to photograph the creature. THE TIMES are no weddings booked for the site.

The project is expected to be delivered in four stages.

Ms Appel last year said she had teamed up with prolific restaurateurs Daniel and Ruggie Ridgeway to transform Eco Studio Fellini at Mudgeeraba into a “oneof-a-kind” wedding and events space.
