Wild bucks party pad for sale at $8.5m-plus

- Viva Hyde

The owner of a Gold Coast mansion, who was once accused of illegally hosting a wild party for porn stars and strippers, has relisted the sprawling property with an eye-popping asking price of $8.5m-plus.

That’s $2m more than the last time the 14-bedroom Tallai home was on the market in late-2022, but owner Blair Harding outlined refurbishments, including fresh paint, new carpet, and addition of a two-bedroom granny flat.

In 2020, Mr Harding, a selfdescribed property developer and business coach, agreed to stop hosting functions at the property, known as Wings Hinterland Retreat, as part of a settlement against him by the Gold Coast City Council.

It was alleged he broke planning laws by renting out the house for weddings, conferences, and bucks parties for more than 50 people.

Mr Harding was further accused of hosting a promotional party for the long-running adult exhibition Sexpo, including strippers from Magic Men Entertainer, a jetski in the pool, naked women and porn stars, with Instagram posts from the raucous event filed in evidence by council.

Perched high above sealevel, the arrow-shaped house on a 4.5ha parcel commands spectacular city skyline and ocean views.

“Calling all rock stars, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and ridiculously large families,” Mr Harding said in the listing.

“This property has been developed over a 16-year period and has seen many amazing and incredible people through the doors.

“If these walls could talk,” he said.

Features of the property, which Mr Harding said was used as the hideout in the TV series Mission Impossible, including a 14-person cedar sauna, huge pool, two spas, outdoor bar and kitchen, tennis court, snooker table, fully equipped gym, and a hallway indoor bowling alley.

The property comprises three separate homes, including the main double-storey residence with five queen or king-sized bedrooms are upstairs, each with an ensuite, and another three bedrooms on the ground floor.

And if the buy-in is out of your budget, the home is also available to rent at $5000 to $6000 a week.

Property records show Mr Harding has held the Red Oak

Drive property since 2007, when it changed hands for $2.185m.

PropTrack data shows Tallai’s median house price of $1.5m has remained stable over the past 12 months.
