April in Paris Patterns cost £7 each and can be bought via Ravelry.com. www.thefibreco.com
The luminous and draping qualities of The Fibre Co.’s new Luma yarn are showcased in its April in Paris collection. The six patterns by Emma Wright and Hanna Maciejewska are designed as lightweight layering pieces, and include a cap-sleeved, back-buttoned top called ‘Carrousel de Paris’.
Other designs include a lacy raglan cardigan with scalloped edges, and a seamless, top-down cardigan inspired by the classic Chanel jacket.
‘Rue St Antoine’ is a relaxed drop-sleeved sweater with a textured design, and ‘Grand Cerf’ is a long-line tunic with a slash neck and a contrast-colour yoke. The ‘Galerie d’Apollon’ wrap was inspired by a photograph of Audrey Hepburn, and uses a lace flower bud stitch.
Luma is a blend of fine merino, organic cotton, linen and silk, and comes in a choice of soft neutrals and a few brighter shades.
