Cont to work as set, AT THE SAME TIME, af­ter work­ing 4 rows, cre­ate a buttonhole by work­ing (K2, yo, P2­tog) at be­gin­ning of the row. Re­peat buttonhole ev­ery 5 ( 7: 9) cm un­til there are 4 in to­tal con­tin­u­ing to work the 3 edge sts in garter st through­out. Cont un­til work meas 53 ( 57: 61) cm. MAK­ING UP CUFFS

With RS fac­ing, start­ing 19cm up from front hem edge, pick up and knit 53 ( 63: 73) sts, end­ing 19cm from back hem edge. Work in garter st for 5 rows. Cast off. Re­peat this on the op­po­site side.

NECK TRIM

With RS fac­ing, pick up and knit 55 ( 59: 63) sts around neck edge. Work in garter st for 2 rows. Cast off.

SIDE SEAMS

With RS fac­ing in, fold work in half and sew side seams from cuff edge to hem edge. Turn work the right way.

TIE

Plait three equal lengths of yarn un­til it mea­sures 1 me­tre. Knot each end. Thread the tie around the cen­tre of the work, us­ing the lace holes to thread in and out. Ide­ally thread this where Chart A changes to Chart B. Tie in a bow at the front.
