Elizabeth Lovick

From her home on the Orkney Islands, Elizabeth designs exquisite Fair Isle, cable and Shetland lace patterns. She also enjoys exploring traditional stitches and techniques from around the world, and this month she brings us a classic Faroese shawl, on page 39.

Emma Vining

Emma is known for her exquisite stitch patterns and fabric textures, many of which have been inspired by artefacts found in London’s museums. Her latest design for us incorporates Rococo styles seen at the Wallace Collection, and you can find her elegant top on page 24.

Mary Henderson

Mary has a passion for traditional Fair Isle knitting, and has won a firm following thanks to her intricate stranded colourwork designs and her talent for colour combining. This month, she has paired pastel shades with fresh floral motifs on her pretty waistcoat on page 8.
