NATIVE BREEDS

Fine Fettle Fibres, the Northumberland yarn shop, has teamed up with local conservation grazing project Flexigraze to offer yarns produced from its native-breed sheep. Manx Loaghtan and Hebridean sheep are used to maintain grassland and heathland habitats, and now their fleeces are being spun at Halifax Mill into aran-weight yarns for handknitting. Each undyed, 100g skein is £14.
