A FRESH

colour and a soft, lightweigh­t yarn ensure this Aran-style sweater for women will make a lovely layering piece for your spring wardrobe. The design has a high ribbed turtleneck and an attractive central cable panel; cable details are also worked up the sleeves. The garment uses a pure merino wool from the Falkland Islands, which is wonderfull­y fine and soft, and is also machine-washable. It is available in 19 shades, ranging from sophistica­ted neutrals to brights and pastels.

MAKING UP

Join the shoulders. Graft the neckband around the neck edge. Join the short seams. Sew the tops of the sleeves into the armholes. Sew the sleeve and side seams. Weave in all ends and block to measuremen­ts, following any yarn care instructio­ns on the ball band.
