The chart shows the leaf pattern; odd rows are RS rows and are worked from right to left, even rows are WS rows and are worked from left to right.

The number of stitches varies whilst working the pattern.

Continue in patt as follows:

Row 1 (RS): K3, pm, work to last st as row 1 of chart, K1.

Row 2 (WS): K1, work to last 3 sts as row 2 of chart, K3.

Keeping selvedge sts in garter stitch throughout, patt a further 6 rows as set, ending after a WS row.

**Next row (RS, inc): Patt to 1 st before mrk, KFB, slm, patt to end.

1 st inc’d.

Work incs into last st before mrk as set on last row, taking increases into garter stitch throughout.

Patt 9 rows, ending after a WS row.

Rep inc row once more.

1 st inc’d.

Patt 7 rows, ending after a WS row. **

Rep from ** to ** another 32 times.

Rep inc row again. 94 sts.

Keeping patt correct, work straight in pattern as set until wrap measures 182cm from cast-on edge, ending after a row 12 or 24 of chart.

Cast off loosely.

Block shawl carefully to measuremen­ts, following any yarn care instructio­ns on the ball band.
