STAR STITCH

Row 1 (RS): *K2tog, yo twice, SSK; rep from * to end.

Row 2: P1, *(P1, P1tbl) in double yo,

Sl 2 wyib, bring yarn to front, slip 2 sts back to left-hand needle, bring yarn to back, slip 2 sts back to right-hand needle; rep from * to last 3 sts, (P1, P1tbl) in double yo, P1.

Row 3: K2, *K2tog, yo twice, SSK; rep from * to last 2 sts, K2.

Row 4: P1, *Sl 2 wyib, bring yarn to front, slip 2 sts back to left-hand needle, bring yarn to back, slip 2 sts back to right-hand needle, (P1, P1tbl) in double yo; rep from * to last 3 sts, slip 2 sts back to left-hand needle, bring yarn to back, slip 2 sts back to right-hand needle, P1.

Repeat rows 1–4 for pattern.

It is recommended to swatch first, not just to check tension but also to familiarise yourself with the stitch pattern.

When working shaping in pattern, if you can’t work a full repeat in Star Stitch then work remaining sts in stocking stitch to keep the stitch count correct.

Circular needles are recommended to accommodate the large number of stitches. The project is worked flat - do not join to work in the round.
