Audley End BODY BACK
Using 3.75mm needles, 60-80cm long, yarn A, and the long-tail cast-on method, cast on 200 ( 224: 248: 268: 292: 312) sts. Pm and join to work in the round, taking care not to twist sts.
Work 10 rnds in 1x1 rib, placing another marker after 100 ( 112: 124: 134: 146: 156) sts to mark position of side ‘seams’.
Change to 4mm needles, 60-80cm long.
SLIP STITCH PATTERN
Work in pattern as given below, ensuring that you work with the yarn colour given for each round, and carrying the yarn not in use up the side of work.
Rnd 1: Knit.
Rnd 2: With yarn B, *Sl 1 wyib, Sl 1 wyif, Sl 1 wyib, K1; rep from * to end.
Rnd 3: With yarn B, *Sl 3 wyif, yo, K1; rep from * to end.
Rnd 4: With yarn A, knit, dropping all yos to make strand in yarn B on RS of work. Rnd 5: With yarn A, knit.
Rnd 6: With yarn B, *Sl 1 wyib, insert needle from the front under the loose yarn B strand and knit the next stitch, bringing the needle under the strand to catch it behind the stitch; Sl 1 wyib, K1; rep from * to end.

Rnds 8 and 9: With yarn A, knit.

Rnds 11 to 20: Rep rnds 1 to 10, but reversing colours.
Rep rnds 1 to 20.
Rep rnds 1 to 10 once more.
Break off yarn A and continue in yarn B only.

SHAPE SHOULDERS
Work short rows as for Back, omitting neck shaping.
SLEEVES
Using 3.75mm needles, 40cm long, yarn B, and the long-tail cast-on method, cast on 56 ( 60: 64: 72: 80: 88) sts.
Pm and join to work in the round, taking care not to twist sts.
Work in 1x1 rib for 2cm.
Change to 4mm needles, 40cm long. Knit 1 round.
Next round: (K3, P1) to end.
Cont in Texture Stitch patt as set for Body, inc 1 st at each end of next and every alt round until there are 64 ( 68: 72: 80: 88: 98) sts.
Work even until piece meas 7cm from cast-on edge.
SHAPE SLEEVE TOP
Cast off 3 ( 3: 3: 3: 5: 5) sts, work to last
4 ( 4: 4: 4: 6: 6) sts, cast off 4 ( 4: 4: 4: 6: 6) sts. 57 ( 61: 65: 73: 77: 87) sts.
Rejoin yarn and working back and forth in stitch patt:

MAKING UP
Join shoulder seams. Set in sleeves.
NECKBAND
With RS facing, using 3.75mm circular needles and yarn A, and beg at left shoulder seam, pick up and knit 26 sts down left front neck edge, knit across 27 ( 29: 29: 31: 31: 33) held sts, pick up and knit 26 sts up right front neck edge, pick up and knit 5 sts down right back neck edge, knit across
37 ( 41: 41: 43: 43: 43) held sts, pick up and knit 5 sts up left back neck edge.
Pm for beg of rnd.
126 ( 132: 132: 136: 136: 138) sts.
Rib round: (K1, P1) to end.
Continue in rib until neckband meas 2cm from picked-up edge.
Cast off in rib.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. Block garment gently to measurements, following any yarn care instructions on the ball band.
