SLICE OF PARADISE

Three residences, a lake, pool and paddocks and lawns to explore make this acreage stunner a must-see

- ARUN SINGH MANN

WITH three residences on one property, yet still more room than most suburban neighbourhoods, there are many features that set this expansive rural property apart from its city counterparts.

Most larger lots in Cairns are either to the north or south of the city and often decades old, but sitting on the edge of the Cairns Regional Council area is this 2015-built home on a 8.82ha block at 450 Dinner Creek Rd, Eubenangee.

Built with a secluded lifestyle in mind, it is about an hour south of Cairns and less than 20 minutes to Innisfail.

Elite Real Estate Services agent Karl Latham said the in-demand property provided endless possibilities for potential owners.

“There is a lot of interest at the moment for these acreage properties,” he said.

“It’s been online since June 4, and we’ve already had 17 inquiries. A lot of local interest, people from Melbourne and Sydney, the US. “A lot of multi-generational interest.

“We’ve even had interest in it being used as a wedding venue.”

He said although the main house would require some work to be converted into an events venue, the outdoor area was already perfect.

“You’ve got your own dam with a private freshwater lake complete with barramundi and turtles, a 10-acre paddock ideal for a hobby farm and beautiful rolling lawns to explore.”

The main house incorporates 478sq m under roof, and is so large, Mr Latham describes each area by labelling them as “wings”.

“One wing of the building has four bedrooms and a study with a spacious kids’ retreat room.

“In the centre is the huge open-plan living space with a stunning chef’s kitchen that leads out seamlessly to the entertaining patio and sparkling pool.

“The master suite really is something else and so impressive with an enormous walk-in robe, an ensuite with freestanding bathtub and your own private patio.”

Sitting at the peak of a hill, he said the architecture allowed for an “open and airy” design with high cathedral ceilings, clean lines, lots of natural light and plenty of cross flow breezes.

But the major drawcard, he said, was the

sweeping views of Mt Bartle Frere.

With plenty of room to expand or build from the ground up, there are already another two dwellings onsite.

These include a three-bedroom ranch style house on the edge of the lake, and another guesthouse or granny flat, sitting just behind and above the main house.

There are two sheds onsite as well – a large barn yard shed for the tractors with roller doors and an older-styled, open farm shed at the front of the property.

“There is so much more than meets the eye with this beautiful property,” Mr Latham said.

“A full matterport virtual tour is available for you to explore from your lounge room, however nothing beats seeing it for yourself.”
