“It was pretty ex­cit­ing, ev­ery­one that was there was very in­ter­ested,” Mr Fo­ley said

“Some of the groups had three or four peo­ple in them, so es­ti­mate some­where be­tween 250300 peo­ple in about 50 min­utes. The first of­fer came in on Tues­day but I’ve al­ready sent out about 10 con­tracts,” he said on Wed­nes­day.

Edge Hill is known to be a bustling sub­urb, es­pe­cially on week­ends, with its ro­bust din­ing precinct and easy ac­cess to parks and trails.

But Mr Fo­ley de­scribed the in­cred­i­ble scenes at the 1965 lowset Queensland­er as “crazy” with the sub­urb’s Collins St-like traf­fic present at Glen­lea St.

“The street was full of cars and the line went from the front door, out through the front gate and then al­most to the neigh­bour’s prop­erty, in both di­rec­tions.

“I was pretty tired and prob­a­bly fin­ished work about 10pm on Sun­day night just purely be­cause the phone did not stop ring­ing – it was all about that one prop­erty.

“On Tues­day I was do­ing call backs and I got about a third of the way through and I al­most lost my voice.”

Mr Fo­ley said 10 Glen­lea St at­tracted a wide range of peo­ple but the ma­jor­ity were cur­rent home­own­ers from Edge Hill, Whit­field and nearby sub­urbs chas­ing a value in­vest­ment.

The four-bed­room house was listed for of­fers above $399,000, while ac­cord­ing to, the me­dian price for fourbed­room houses at Edge Hill was $587,500.

“There’s a lot of po­ten­tial for this prop­erty. It’s on a 809 sqm block so you could sub­di­vide the back.

“It’s on con­crete stumps and could be very eas­ily lifted to add an­other storey and have some­thing mod­ern built un­der­neath.”
