Personality key to fashions

“I think the idea of ticking Fashions on The Field boxes by having gloves, hosiery and closed-toe shoes is a bit dated, ” she said.

“Personal style and attention to detail are the keys to creating a look that stands out.” Last year’s Fashions on the Field winner Stacie Galeano said she agreed attention to detail was the key to fashion success.

“Contestants also need to be confident in what they are wearing, so that the outfit becomes an extension of the personality,” she said.

Cairns Amateurs Carnival kicks off on Thursday, September 8, at Cannon Park.
