NO, you can’t vote for Koala McKoalaface, but you can have a say in this little guy’s name.

The seven-month-old koala joey is one of Hartley’s Crocodile Adventure’s newest additions and made his second appearance out of mum Willa’s pouch yesterday.

The park is allowing customers to vote for one of three prospective names and on Friday he will be christened Euc, Hartley or MJ in honour of his father Mumari.

“Everyone’s really excited about it,” handler Hollie Powell said.

His naming day will coincide with Save the Koala day and park operator Angela Freeman said it was an oppor- tunity to spread the conservation message and raise funds.

“The whole point is raising money but we’re also raising awareness because people have to be conscious of the impact on their habitats,” she said.

“The reality with koalas is their habitat in south-east Queensland is being encroached upon more and more.”
