GOOD TIMES AND BAD IN FNQ FOOTY

-

Q It goes without saying that your role comes with its challenges. A Over the years I’ve seen some big changes, like Innisfail Uniteds and Babinda go out. It’s not always been easy. Q So what’s been the hardest thing you have to deal with? Teams going out? A I think teams leaving was expected. We have had a lot of happy times but some really sad times. We have had players pass away because of accidents and suicides. They are the ones that really affect me. Those sort of things get to me more than the good things sometimes. Q So what are some of the best bits? You must get satisfaction out of some things like grand finals, as we will see today? A I like a good grand final day. It just gets people in a good mood. And it’s also good to see these young fellas when they make the NRL. And the coaches. I get enjoyment out of seeing coaches go to another level. I always had a good relationship with Brad Arthur for eight years.
