Forbes preps for rain

A once-in-a-generation flood has residents in the NSW town of Forbes preparing to evacuate. The flood is expected to be the worst to hit the town since 132 houses were damaged in 1990, as recent heavy rains have saturated large parts of inland NSW. The Lachlan River peaked at 10.65m 26 years ago at Forbes and is expected to reach 10.6m on Sunday.
