Efforts recognised

A CAIRNS mother on a mission to find a cure for her daughter’s rare genetic disease has been named a finalist in the 2016 Telstra Queensland Business Women’s Awards. Manoora’s Meagan Cross co-founded the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (FAST) to raise funding for research and provide families the support she felt was missing following the diagnosis of her daughter. Winners will be announced on October 14.
