Royal tots a big hit at party in Canada

THE INFLUENCE OF THE ROYAL FAMILY ON STYLE IS SO GREAT THAT WE’RE GETTING MORE AND MORE PARENTS WHO WANT TO DRESS THEIR CHILDREN IN A SIMILAR WAY BRIARNA LONGVILLE

THE world has joined in the party spirit as Prince George and Princess Charlotte make charming play date guests in Canada.

Prince George, 3, and oneyear-old Princess Charlotte have charmed the world as guests of honour at a children’s garden party at Government House, Victoria, yesterday.

Princess Charlotte’s excitement on being presented a balloon by her father even produced the first word she has spoken on camera, saying “pop” when she saw the balloon.

She is also believed to have said “dada” and happily took her first unassisted steps for the world’s cameras.

Meanwhile, Prince George was a picture of contemplation as he studied the bubble machine with wide-eyed wonder.

Spokeswoman for luxury Melbourne childrenswear label Jacadi, Briarna Longville, said the children’s conservative dressing continued to draw more customers to the classic European style.

“The influence of the royal family on style is so great that we’re getting more and more parents who want to dress their children in a similar way,” she said.

“It’s especially popular for special occasions where parents want memories for photographs so it becomes more important for them to dress more formally.”

Both children were again wearing blue.
