First Lady lashes out at Trump’s remarks
FENDING off accusations of sexual assault, Donald Trump has implored his supporters to “look at” one of his accusers as a means to convey the absurdity of the allegations.
“Look at her. Look at her words. You tell me what you think. I don’t think so!” Mr Trump declared of People
Magazine reporter Natasha Stoynoff, who wrote a firstperson piece alleging the billionaire had kissed her without consent.
The embattled real estate mogul came out swinging yesterday, fiercely denying Stoynoff’s claim and other similar allegations, calling his accusers “horrible, horrible liars”.
It came as First Lady Michelle Obama launched a blistering attack on Mr Trump’s record on women, urging America not to support a man who spoke in sexually predatory ways.
The two campaign stump speeches came within minutes of each other and at almost opposite ends of the country.
Mrs Obama told how Mr Trump’s remarks captured on videotape and released last week, in which he said he could do anything he wanted to women, had shaken her “to the core”.
“The truth is it hurts. It hurts,” she said.
“It’s like that sick, sinking feeling you get when you are walking down the street, minding your own business, and some guy yells out vulgar words about your body, or when you see that guy at work that stands a little too close, stares a little too long and makes you feel uncomfortable in your own skin.”
