ACTING CAREER? MAYBE NOT

Q If people don’t know you already for downhill mountain biking, they have seen you in the ad for James Cook University. What do you think of it?

A To be honest, I haven’t seen it. I guess it’s good. I was overseas when it came out and everyone was messaging me saying you’re on TV, so it must be good. Most of my friends just laugh about it but actually some people just recognise me in the street and I don’t know how to react to that.

Q Do you think you have a career in acting to look forward to?

A Ha ha no. Definitely not. I don’t think I’m very good at it. We did do a few takes, so maybe not a career on camera in advertis- ing, but maybe behind the scenes. Next year I’m going into business and marketing because I want to work with athletes in that aspect. So hopefully I’ll be behind the scenes, not the face of the ad, but I don’t mind it. To be honest JCU has been so good to me with study and been great with exams being late because of travel. It’s a good uni to go to.
