Flights resume

FLIGHTS between Cairns and Hong Kong are expected to operate as normal today after Typhoon Haima made landfall in China. On Thursday, Cathay Pacific cancelled flight CX 146 due to unrelated circumstances with passengers transferred to other carriers. Typhoon Haima made landfall near the mainland city of Shanwei in eastern Guangdong province about midday yesterday, local time. A spokeswoman for the airline said flight CX103 would most likely arrive an hour late today before services returned to normal.
