Luminaries and ordinary stargazers to get a first look at super Nova

CAIRNS residents can get their first look inside the $2 million Nova City display suite this weekend.

The highly anticipated development was launched on Thursday night with city lead- ers the first to step inside the display suite in Spence St.

Developer World Class Global spared no expense on the suite with marble imported from Italy and Turkey for the penthouse displays.

Visitors walking into the building from Spence St are drawn into a retail galleria be- fore being greeted at reception and invited to experience a sophisticated “urbanely-chic” waiting area.

Once inside a large, intricate model of the full development takes centre stage and is flanked to the left and right by luxurious marble and timber kitchens and bathrooms that showcase penthouse apartments in two colour schemes.

The interiors have been curated by Melbourne-based, award-winning interior design firm Hecker Guthrie.

Construction of the 17 storey, 187 apartment Nova Light is expected to begin next year, but sales director Zak Thaker said up to 10 per cent of the apartments had already been sold with all but one of the buyers based in Australia.

Prices range from one-bedroom apartments starting from $395,000 to penthouses up to $1.9 million.

A luxury podium level on the third floor – to be dubbed Club Nova – would be open to all residents and feature an infinity pool, an outdoor kitchen, a barbecue pit, a gym, a theatre, yoga deck and children’s play area.

The Spence St suite, opposite Cairns Central, is open from 10am-4pm weekdays and 11am-3pm on weekends.
