Elsa puts on real fresh-is-best foodie spread

-

EAT Real founder Elsa Comino will be showcasing some of her popular meal range at the Cape York Hotel today.

The entrepreneurial foodie and cafe owner runs eateries at Bush Pilot Avenue in Aeroglen and the Cape York Hotel.

Today’s food tasting event will include some of the freshis-best fare from Eat Real, as well as free beverage samples from Coopers, Accolade Wines and Diageo.

Elsa said she questioned the wisdom of running her own business last year, but continued to push ahead.

“It’s because I truly believe in what I am doing and I want it so bad,” she said.

Opening a second eatery at the iconic Cape York Hotel “was an opportunity I felt I had to take with both hands”.

“This has stretched my staff to try and meet my expecta- tions of working at both places,” she said. “I am doing what I am passionate about, even though I spend a lot of time in tears – tears from frustration to uncertainty to meeting amazing people ... and also celebrating special moments that I have catered for.”

As well as its two eateries, Eat Real offers an online and delivery service of healthy meals, vegetarian food and paleo-inspired meals.

Today’s event begins with a meet and greet at 4pm with the showcase of food beginning at 4.30pm.
