RIO Tinto has awarded a $45 million contract to the Queensland division of civil construction company Fulton Hogan for its Far North bauxite project Amrun. The company will build a dam supplying water to the $2.6 billion Western Cape York project. “We are delighted to bring our dam-building technology and innovation to the Amrun project,” said Fulton Hogan chief executive officer for construction Peter Kessler.
