INSTEAD of relying on social media gossip for crime news in your area, why not get involved with Neighbourhood Watch? There are groups throughout the region, but there are other ways to get involved that do not require attending meetings. Residents can subscribe to receive emails with information related to your area, or join the Facebook group, read blogs tailored to different suburbs or become a member. Groups hold regular meetings attended by local police officers.
