My Cairns

This is my 11th year living in Cairns. I moved here from Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. I came here first as deputy principal, then six months later I became acting principal and then principal in 2007. Cairns and Caloundra are both really beautiful places. I probably prefer it up here now. It’s become very congested on the Sunshine Coast. I don’t think I’ll move back. I like the relaxed atmosphere up here. I love Palm Cove. I find for a place that’s so busy, it’s so quiet and relaxed. It’s got a lot of things there but the whole atmosphere is quite nice. You can go there on a busy day and it’s still nice. It always feels relaxed.
