The chamber is planning an election debate and analysis of the federal budget.
Mr Loukas said, with more than 100 years of history, “we need to continually look at ways we can improve”.
“We’ve started a strategic review with the aim of getting closer to our members,” he said.
“(We need to) keep in our sights the focus of growing the region and the benefits that this will bring for our members.”
Mr Davies said he had always been active in various business advocacy groups.
“I feel the chamber is a great platform to help influence outcomes that will benefit Cairns’ economy and community,” he said. editorial@
