land, they’re going berserk, it’s incredible.”

If, or when, he scores a try, every rugby league fan will hear it from mum and dad in the stands, who are being flown down for the match.

“You will hear me from the Gold Coast. I’ll make sure I tell the world,” Gela said.

His mum Freda said it had been a long wait to see him get the opportunity and couldn’t wait to see him step on the field.

“I’ll be cheering, come on my black Ferrari. Get ‘em boy,” she said.

“I see him every day how he performs, from small, and I would say it’s natural to see him do well.”

Andrew Bailey, who GelaMosby refers to as “Dad 2”, said there would be no pressure on his shoulders. He doesn’t feel it.

“He’s crossed any hurdle that’s been put in front of him. I think it’s just going to be like another day at the office, like you and me go to work,” he said.

“It’s just his job and he’s been put on the planet to just be this person, he’s a natural athlete.

“Whatever’s been thrown at him he just seems to be able to get the job done and get it done correctly. You couldn’t ask more of him.” It all comes down to family. “These families are massive, the support they give. You couldn’t wish for a more perfect family and their support towards him,” Bailey said.
