FACT FILE — MATT KELSO
• Matt Kelso joined FNQ Football as general manager, taking over from Duncan Sims, in late 2016 • He attended the University of New South Wales and graduated with qualifications in sports science and sports coaching • Kelso began in junior coaching and elite development programs with Football NSW in Sydney’s inner west • He coached Wollongong Wolves in the National Youth League in 2000, then moved from coaching to administration • From 2001-2008, Kelso was general manager of Football Far North Coast (NSW). During his time leading the organisation, participation increased on the back of facility upgrades and revenue increased 60 per cent • From 2010-2016, he has held various roles with the Australian Sports Commission aimed at increasing participation in a variety of sport, including football and skateboarding. • From 2012-2013 he was director of football at Lennox Head FC
