A dam good deal with barramundi thrown in

-

HAYDEN SMITH now listed for offers starting at $3 million.

Selling agent Chris Marsh of Marsh Property said the high-profile estate illustrated the quality of “lifestyle homes” offered in the region.

“It is ridiculously good value for money; you’re so close to the centre of Atherton but it feels like it’s one million miles away from the town,” he said.

After moving in, the couple “gutted” the home’s interior to grant it a stylish new look.

The property’s extensive gardens have been completely restored, with fruit trees now abundant.

The owners also built a dam on the property and stocked it with barra fingerlings.

Some of the barramundi have grown to be longer than one metre.

“Everything in that property is of the absolute highest quality,” Mr Marsh said.

“It’s very private and the serenity is just amazing.”

He said the owners, both in their 70s, were looking to downsize.

Other features of the home include solar power and hot water systems, several living spaces over three storeys – one of which is subterranean – and an “enormous” country kitchen capable of catering for any occasion.

Expressions of interest are being sought for the Tablelands property.
