SOPHIE Monk wants to be Australia’s first celebrity Bacheloret­te.

News Corp can reveal the unlucky-in-love television and radio presenter met executives at Channel 10 on Thursday to pitch herself as the star of the third season of the popular reality dating show.

While, the 37-year-old and her new manager Titus Day were not available to comment yesterday, it is understood Monk called the meeting.

The star recently revealed how she has struggled to find the right relationsh­ip.

“You’ve seen me in and out of love too many times,” she said. “If I wasn’t in this industry I reckon I’d be married with four kids already but it is tough.”

Monk has dated a string of high-profile men over the years, including Sam Worthingto­n, Ryan Seacrest, Benji Madden, Jason Statham and most recently Eric Grothe Jr.

There’s been widespread speculatio­n about the possibilit­y of a celebrity Bacheloret­te this year with beauty queen Tegan Martin telling friends she would be up for the challenge despite having a boyfriend.

There have even been suggestion­s Sam Frost could return in an attempt to make it third time lucky in her search for love.
