COULD the NBL’s 2018 combine land in the Far North? About 80 NBL hopefuls, including Cairns’ Kody Stattmann, attended the 2017 NBL Combine this week in Melbourne.

It was the second time the style of combine has been held in Australia.

Speaking at the combine on Tuesday, Jeremy Loeliger (right), CEO of the NBL, sounded very interested in the possibility of moving the idea around Australia. Loeliger said the combine gave athletes a chance to showcase their abilities in front of a number of NBL coaches and executives who are looking to fill out their rosters for the NBL season.
