Couple facing court after police swoop on vehicle
POLICE have charged a Manunda pair with various offences following a vehicle intercept outside their home.
Cairns Property Crime Squad officers stopped a vehicle being driven by a man as he was preparing to park outside a Bosanko St home just after 11am on Thursday.
It will be alleged the 30year-old man was found possessing a knife and was also breaching a bail condition.
Further checks allegedly re- vealed the 27-year-old woman had failed to pay for accommodation at a Kewarra Beach resort in July last year.
The man was charged with unlawful possession of a knife in public as well as breaching a bail condition. He is expected to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on June 30.
The woman was charged with one count of fraud. She is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on July 10.
