Seahawks to step up game

JACOB GRAMS place for Mareeba. We’ve changed out structure a bit and we’ve got some good plans.”

Gladiators coach Tye Ingebrigtsen said his side was still hurting after their worst loss of the season in Yarrabah earlier in the year and would be fired up for revenge.

Mareeba have yet to lose at home this season and the plan was for that to continue in front of a capacity crowd at Davies Park.

“I think we’ve really got to stamp our authority on the competition,” Ingebrigtsen said.

“We can’t play well one week against Innisfail then not play well the next game.

“They pulled our pants down back in Round 1 so there’s a bit of motivation there and we haven’t lost at home yet and we’d like to keep it that way.

“We definitely need a big crowd. In Round 3 the Yarrabah crowd was giving it to us and you can see that’s why they’re so good there.”

The Gladiators have received a boost with the return of forward Ben Cocciolone for the match.
