FEARNE’S A SMART MAN

-

Q AWhat was it like working under Aaron Fearne?

He is smart, smart man. At the same time, I had to back myself and if I did that, he backed me. At the end of the day, he would turn around and say things are on my head, but if I said it, he backed us. That is his take on it, if we said something in our roles, he would back us because that is your job. That evolved. At the start he tried to step over us and do as I was told but he wanted me to step up and say what I wanted to do.

Even though you have finished up with the Taipans, you are still working one on one with Nate Jawai in his recovery from a shoulder reconstruction. He is such a unique athlete, what is he like to work with?
