CAIRNS Miss Show Girl winner Marinka Zanetich loves how the show brings everyone together.

“Everyone comes for different reasons. We’ve got poultry, we’ve got cattle, we’ve got arts and crafts, horticulture, there’s all these different aspects to the show that people love,” she said. “And it’s just phenomenal to see everyone coming together from all walks of life.”

The 21-year-old from Gord- onvale said her favourite amusement was the wood chop competition.

“It’s exhilarating to watch. I’m blown away by the strength of the men who are chopping the wood,” she said.

Then the hunt is on to find a bag of show fairy floss. “I love it,” she laughed.

Ms Zanetich will head to Brisbane next month to represent North Queensland Shows at the Ekka.
