JACK’S BACK

-

www.cairnspost.com.au JACK Bowes returns to where it all began this afternoon.

The Cairns product started his footy journey with the Manunda Hawks, whose home ground is Cazalys Stadium, and he will run out as an AFL player at the venue for the first time today.

The rookie has done everything asked of him in his first season as a Gold Coast Sun and will get the chance to play in front of his friends and family who have supported him over the years.

While Bowes holds fond memories of playing at Cazalys Stadium in his younger days, his last game at the venue is not one that he likes to think about.

His last run around at Cazalys was the 2014 AFL Cairns Seniors grand final where his Cairns Saints went down to Port Douglas by 16 points.

Bowes, just 16 years of age, was not overawed playing against the men, kicking a goal at the stadium on the biggest stage.
