KEY MATCH-UPS

-

HALFBACK: Mitchell Moses (Eels) v Michael Morgan (Cowboys) Both players have had to adapt their games this year for vastly different reasons, but with a great deal of success. Moses has flourished since his midseason move to the Eels, and tore the Cowboys apart in guiding his former side the Tigers to a win in Townsville earlier this year. Morgan has had to direct the Cowboys around the park with Johnathan Thurston out injured, and produced one of his best games of the year when it counted in last week’s extra-time win over the Sharks.

LOCK: Nathan Brown (Eels) v Jason Taumalolo (Cowboys) Like Moses, Brown has gone to another level since joining Parramatta from Souths this year. He has been one of the buys of the season and his relentless work rate (151 metres, 35 tackles on average per game) has already made him an Eels fan favourite. Taumalolo’s display against the Sharks was unbelievable, even by his lofty standards. The Dally M medallist will need a similar effort to combat an aggressive and physical Eels pack.

WING: Semi Radradra (Eels) v Kyle Feldt (Cowboys) Radradra has scored nine tries in his last four games, and looks to be on a mission to snag a premiership before he joins French rugby giants Toulon next year. With his off field dramas now resolved he looks focused and Feldt will have his hands full containing the Fijian. Feldt (above) has had his issues under the high ball on occasion this year, so expect Moses and Eels halves partner Corey Norman to test him out early.
