YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

WHAT KIND OF WORKERS WOULD BENEFIT FROM STUDYING A MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION?

-

Any worker can benefit, provided it’s completed at the right stage of your career. Sometimes people complete an MBA too early in their career because they think it will automatically give them a better job offer or higher salary. There might be cases where this happens, but there are far more where it doesn’t. Instead, people with the experience suitable for an executive role in their field are in the best position to complete an MBA. Without the right experience, an MBA is merely an addition to your studies, rather than a step up into an executive role. Anyone who wants to develop their commercial acumen and managerial skills, increase their earning potential, and/or gain a senior management role or develop their own business venture, has the potential to benefit from undertaking a Master of Business Administration. Potential students need to be aware it is a significant investment in time and money. However, it is a transferable qualification across a range of industries and is recognised around the world. An MBA offers a blend of theoretical and practical training which assists in the ability to deliver professional management practices. People seeking senior management roles in business benefit from these qualifications. Typically finance and consulting are two fields that benefit, however they are highly regarded by most private and public-sector organisations where highlevel, strategic management practices are required. An MBA will provide a level of assurance you have the senior management skills to deliver and run a department or organisation. In the current competitive employment market, employers will look for postgraduate qualifications for a range of roles. Sometimes, an MBA is used to differentiate candidates that can’t otherwise be separated for a role. Employers view this qualification as covering useful and relevant knowledge and skills, irrespective of the job sector. Keep in mind that not all MBAs are created equal. Some institutions are seen as providing a higher quality MBA than others. An MBA requires you to invest extensive time and money.
