Crows out to finish job

-

the Tigers’ Punt Road training ground.

Adelaide confirmed rookielisted midfielder Hugh Greenwood (calf) is fit to be part of the Crows’ unchanged 22. This forces novice forward-midfielder Wayne Milera to be the “unlucky” 23rd man after Pyke ignored the external call to add more speed to his line-up.

“We had that discussion,” Pyke said.

“Again, we lean towards Hugh and keeping an unchanged line-up.

“This time of the year when you get through qualifying finals and preliminary finals, you have the right blend and balance.

“We certainly had the discussion around Wayne and he is the guy just outside (the 22) who is one of the unlucky ones to miss out.”

The Crows will play without just two of their best 22 – rebounding half-back Brodie Smith (knee) and young forward Mitch McGovern (left hamstring).

Adelaide will play Richmond for the first time since dismissing the Tigers by 76 points in round six (April 30) at Adelaide Oval.

Both the Crows and Richmond have changed – the Tigers more so – in the 21 weeks since that whitewash.
