$100k vow for Rangers

THE rising popularity of women’s soccer has prompted a $100,000 election promise from LNP candidate for Barron River Michael Trout to build female changing rooms for the Marlin Coast Rangers Soccer Club.

Mr Trout said the club had struggled to maintain its female team this year in part because of inadequate facilities.

“Not only will this project bring improved facilities to the club, it will provide jobs in the local area,” he said.
