JOCKEY RELEASED

-

TOWNSVILLE jockey Jeffrey Felix has been released from hospital after a serious race fall last weekend at Home Hill. Felix suffered numerous serious injuries including a fractured skill and ruptured spleen when he fell from the horse Mytang. The 45-year-old was rushed to the Townsville Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit for treatment following the accident. Doctors allowed Felix into a general ward earlier in the week after their concerns about his spleen injury were relieved. He has since been allowed to return home where he’s been confined to bed while his recovery continues. The cause of the accident is being investigated by Queensland Racing Integrity Commission stewards.
