TIGER SHARKS’ 40TH ANNIVERSARY

Club founded and funded by parents and school P & C beginning in 1976

Club began training at the purpose-built pool in November 1977

Club has produced thousands of swimmers across the generations and been a cornerstone of the Edge Hill community

Example of a great partnership between a sports club and a school

Many elite swimmers including Olympic medallists have visited the club since it began

Current coach Gail Eales has been with the club for 26 years

Some parents of current swimmers were themselves coached by Gail Eales

Although a relatively small club it still remains competitive in today’s FNQ competition
