Right man for any job Scots throw at him

-

“I’m excited. I’ve had a lot of experience at halfback throughout my career so it’s nothing new to me really.

“I know I’ve got an extra job on my hands with obviously what’s been going on but I know I’m capable of doing the job.”

But unlike their ill-fated campaign so far, first they need to give themselves a chance.

On paper it might appear Samoa should run all over them, but said if they finally showed their fighting qualities, they could beat the odds.

“If we can sort of get our air share of ball, which we haven’t done these past two games, sort of keep in the arm-wrestle, we’re more than good enough to cause them some problems,” Addy said.

“I’m sure they’ll tire before us before we get in an armwrestle. We’ve got some fit boys in our team and they’ve obviously got some real big fellas in their team and once they’re tired, that can benefit us.

“If we don’t win we go home, and we want to stay. It’s one of those games.”
