DEVELOPING FNQ

Q AThis year you were appointed regional development manager for all of North Queensland.

I’ve been in this role six months, taking over from Tony Quinn. I was a game development officer in Mackay prior to this but being appointed to this role I’m really looking forward to getting out to the broader North Queensland and gaining further insight to rugby league in other areas. The last six months has certainly been a hell of a ride because I’m obviously finishing off playing, it’s my last year, but it has also been great to get an idea where rugby league is being played.

This isn’t a new thing for you. How long have you been involved in growing the game?

AThis will be my sixth year in the NRL and prior to that I was with Brisbane Broncos game development and back in the day ARL down in Brisbane, so it’s something I’m very passionate about and to be up now in North Queensland, being a Mackay girl, and with a great team under me, it’s certainly something I’m looking forward to.
