Q AWhat do you think is the most important thing you can inspire in young women?

For me, I guess I am a little bit of a feminist in my own right in that I’m passionate about the game of rugby league and what it has done for me in providing opportunities on or off the field, leadership, teamwork, teambuilding, confidence, all those things play a part in our game. I feel I can help give them inspiration and desire to want to be something and to shake that old generation … that you get married and you have kids. There’s nothing wrong with that but if we can get them to take on more leadership roles and give them confidence, that’s something I’m passionate about.
