Capturing holidays in pics

-

WHILE you are out and about these holidays, challenge yourself to see if you can find the following list of objects you may never have noticed before around your local community or where you are holidaying. Tick each one off when you spot it then take a photo. Something in a tree Graffiti on a wall Abikestand A shop mannequin A neon sign A vintage car A street clock An unusual letterbox A street lamppost A public phone Agatewithapadlock.

Vary the shots you take of a subject by shooting from different perspectives – up high, down low, get in close or step back for a wide angle, move around the subject to get shots from different sides. Hold the camera straight and still. Use a tripod. Find a visual point of interest (a focal point). Use the rule of thirds – means you divide the image into horizontal and vertical thirds. The main object should be placed on the intersection of the lines.

Take into account the things surrounding the subject when taking pictures.

Look at the light – how is the light affecting your subject? It’s generally best to shoot with the sun behind you. If you’re taking photos outdoors, do it either early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Framing – try to use various elements to form a visual frame around another element. This helps to direct the viewer’s eye and lead to the more important elements. WITH the ability to make adjustments to your photos, play this game with family and friends.

From the photos you snapped, crop each one so only a part of the object is visible.

See if others can work out what the object is in each photo.

Tryy to identifyy each of these.
